Well right or left is relative. One thing for she, she rotated clock-wise.

I somehow managed to make her turn in 4 different ways: -clockwise on her right leg (outside turns) -clockwise on her left leg (inside turns) -counterclockwise on her left leg (outside turns) -counterclockwise on her right leg (inside turns) wth I'm not even joking. Try it. For an hour even, if you have to

For me it's easy to notice this illusion

I only see her spinning clockwise.

I get a weird optical illusion when i look down. It's like she's speed skating on ice.

The trick is focus on her foot, as soon as her foot and the shadow touches blink

I can’t get it to change in any way. Must be some trick I don’t know about.

Here is my trick to hopefully make it easier: Choose a part that goes ither behind or infront of another in the way you currently see it, and keep track of when its going in front or behind. Now you have probably already identified what way shes spinning, and what you do now is take those "in fronts/behinds" and every time the part is in front you tell yourself its behind, and vice versa

Only when im not paying attention and looking away my brain sometimes sees her spinning counter clockwise. But when focusing and seeing the details, theres an overwhelming amount of evidence to suggest shes spinning clock wise, and can't be easily switched.

For me it works by concentration on the object then slowly making the image blur while watching on the feet and suddenly the directions change but I can't control it .

Slow it to .25 speed and you can make her kick left and right while rocking on the other foot.

I focus on her feet to change her spinning direction.

Bro I tried so much, that I got stuck her in moving left-right-left-right. Never do a whole spin. Just looking at her legs.

The shadow is the illusion. The face of the shadow can be seen as either being turned to you or not. So you have to mold the shadow to turn the opposite way But it’s hard af. This is one of the few illusions u can’t change by watching an analysis vid

I tried the shadow trick and it worked for the other direction but changing her back was difficult. Everytime there is a little skip in the rotation so I spinned my finger the way I wanted to see her either clockwise or counter clockwise and eventually she kept turning at will.

Changing the directions has to do with which standing leg you imagine is in front. Look at her lower leg and imagine the other is in front.

Don't get what everyone says about the knee and the shadow. I can change it at will, just pausing the video, convincing myself that she is standing on her right foot, then pause again, and do the opposite. Its very hard to change as she's moving

Use your thumb. Make circles and follow the foot

The trick I found is to look at her lower foot to see her clockwise, and look at her feet shadows to swap her to counter clockwise. Its easy and reliable then

It was going clockwise until I read the comments then in my peripheral vision it switched to the other direction and now I can’t get it to go back 😭😭

If you see her rotating clockwise, then she's "standing" on her left leg and rotating backwards, right? Pause the video and force yourself to invert the depth of the imagine in your head so that she is standing on her right leg. If you're having difficulty, try a different still image. Once you have her on her right leg, imagine she is about to fall backwards, then proceed the video by one frame (should be the "." key). Important: she will be "rotating backwards" in both versions of this, don't expect her to rotate forward. If you've followed the instructions, you'll have noticed that her rotation for that one frame was anticlockwise. Do that for a few more frames to get a feel for it. You may find that your mind switches back to clockwise once her leg "swings around". Just start over and practice frame by frame, eventually you'll get a full anticlockwise around right leg rotation. Now let the video roll and you should have it, just keep reminding yourself that she's standing on her right leg.

As long as I don't look directly at the image, that seems to be the only way i can make her change the rotation

If you can make her legs bounce back and forth away from the camera, then with some practice you can make her top and bottom half rotate in separate directions at the same time.

I love this illusion so much. I was worried for about 2 minutes as i was unable to accomplish it.. then it happened. And then it happened again. Fascinating.

It actually hurts my brain when I switch it. This is one way to lobotomize yourself.
